The history of the brand

The birth of Enduro Bearings is a perfect example of the convergence of necessity, friendship, timing and, believe it or not, inspiration from a forklift truck. It all began with Enduro co-founder Matt Harvey, who hails from the San Francisco Bay Area, near the company's current headquarters. From an early age, Matt was passionate about BMX, often to the point of breaking, and by the age of thirteen he was already working in bike stores, learning not only to repair his own bikes but also to build and repair all manner of other bicycles.

After graduating from San Francisco State University, Matt pursued a career in product design with well-known manufacturers such as Gary Fisher Bicycles, White Industries and then Bianchi. During this time, he was involved in such landmark projects as the Fisher RS-1, one of the very first full-suspension all-terrain bikes, as well as the developmentvelopment of bottom brackets and hubs at White Industries, and Bianchi's fully suspended racing bike used by Johann Museeuw in the Paris-Roubaix.

From these humble beginnings, Enduro Bearings has come a long way. Today, the company is based in a 50,000 sq. ft. facility in Oakland, California, with additional manufacturing facilities in Gilroy, Singapore, Taiwan, and a joint venture in China. Enduro manufactures a wide range of bearings, from economical ABEC 3 models to high-performance XD15 ceramic solutions, equipping millions of bicycles worldwide every year.

Over the years, Enduro has expanded its offering with fork seals, specialized tools, and ongoing innovations such as XD15 and Maxhit™ bearings. More than 25 years after its founding, Matt and Mike's philosophy remains unchanged: to listen to the problems and challenges of bike builders, mechanics and riders and then create solutions that not only meet but often exceed their expectations. This focus on problem-solving and adapting to the changing needs of the cycling world is what makes Enduro Bearings an undisputed leader in its field.

Enduro products

Cycling

Enduro Bearings is a brand dedicated to providing highly specialized solutions for cycling, covering a wide range of components needed to improve bicycle performance and durability.

ENDURO Bearings

Since 1998, Enduro has been breaking new ground in bearings with the launch of MAX® bearings for suspension pivots. Each bearing is designed specifically for use on the bike, with features such as larger balls that roll in deeper grooves to meet the demands of real-life cycling. To satisfy a variety of uses and budgets, Enduro offers a range of bearings from ABEC 3 to ABEC 5 in chrome-plated steel, to corrosion-resistant 440C stainless steel options, to lifetime-guaranteed XD15 ceramic hybrid bearings.

ENDURO seals

Enduro doesn't just supply bearings; they also offer a complete range of seals and professional tools for perfect, efficient bearing installation. Enduro fork seals use double-lipped polyurethane and oiled seals impregnated with molybdenum disulfide, reducing friction and increasing durability compared to standard rubber designs. These seals are designed to keep oil in and prevent external contamination, ensuring smooth, long-lasting performance.

Industry

In addition to parts designed for cycling, Enduro Bearings offers a range of roller bearing solutions specifically for industrial applications, where high load handling and component compactness are crucial.

MR Series bearings

MR Series bearings feature holes and grooves for lubrication systems integrated into the housing. They are available with or without integral seals. MR Series bearings can operate directly on Enduro MI Series inner rings, or on any other type of shaft. For use directly on the shaft, Enduro provides detailed specifications concerning shaft material, hardness, finish and tolerance.

MI series inner rings

The advantage of MI series inner rings is that, in the event of bearing wear, only the inner ring needs to be replaced, not the entire shaft. What's more, the wide range of sizes offers design flexibility, enabling different outer ring assemblies to be combined with the same inner rings, and vice versa. All MI series inner rings also include holes and grooves for lubrication systems designed as an integral part of the shaft.

These products illustrate Enduro's commitment to providing bearing solutions that meet not only performance requirements but also specific design and maintenance needs in a variety of industrial applications.

Enduro product application areas

Enduro bearings are designed to excel in many demanding applications, reflecting their commitment to quality and innovation.

Cycling

Cycling is arguably Enduro's most iconic sector. The brand's bearings are a preferred choice among cyclists of all levels, from beginner to professional.

They are designed to enhance bike performance, offering greater reliability and better management of the dynamic stresses inherent in the sport. Whether for road, mountain bike or cyclo-cross competitions, Enduro bearings ensure smooth rotation and extended component life.

Industry

Enduro bearings also meet the challenges of industrial applications where durability and the ability to withstand high loads are critical. They are used in machines where precision and reliability are essential, notably in machine tool manufacturing, automated production, and in environments where equipment is subjected to extreme conditions such as high temperatures or corrosive environments. Their robust design guarantees optimum performance even under the most rigorous conditions.

Automotive

In the automotive industry, Enduro bearings are integrated into transmission systems and other vital components. The robustness of Enduro bearings enables them to withstand the vibrations and heavy loads typical of this sector, contributing to improved vehicle performance and safety.

Motorsports

Enduro bearings are also used in motorsports. Used in all-terrain vehicles, motorcycles and other motorized machines, these bearings have to withstand high speeds, heavy shocks and extreme temperatures.
