The needle roller bearing is a bearing with a very small radial dimension. It is characterized by a thin-walled deep-drawn sheet metal housing and a needle roller and cage assembly. The needle roller bearing has a high radial load capacity and can achieve equally high speeds. It is press-fitted into the housing without any further fastening.
Most needle nose sockets are single row and without a grease hole. These bushings can be bottomed or bottomless, bottomless bushings are the most common. You can mount them with or without an inner ring. If your assembly requires it, you can find our inner rings here. If it is not the case, it is the axis which will be used as a raceway.
They are used when the housing bore cannot be used as a raceway, such as for needle roller and cage assemblies, but where space in the assembly is limited and requires a compact bearing. Bottomless bushings are the most commonly used, but if you want to close the end of your shaft, you can opt for the closed design. These products are mounted on applications that withstand between -40° and +80°C.
There are mainly three types of needle cases.
Bottomless sockets can be non-sealed (no suffix), sealed on one side (RS suffix) or sealed on both sides (2RS suffix). For sockets with a bottom, they can be non-sealed or sealed on one side only. The sealed side is the one that is open and the suffix to determine this remains "RS".
The choice of a needle bushing usually depends on its dimensions and the model you need. For this, it is necessary to consider several parameters such as the inner diameter, outer diameter and thickness. Then you need to determine the model you want, whether the use you make of it requires it to be open or closed, waterproof or non-waterproof. Once you have the necessary information about your socket, you can use the filters to refine your search and find the socket you need. The brand can also influence your choice. At 123Bearing, we offer you generic but also big brands such as IKO, INA, JTEKT, SKF, TORRINGTON and many others.
